S-P Products provided a drawing and wiring schematic for each assembly for contractors' signed and dated approval plus asking him to note any changes or additions and provide all other necessary specifications - such as shown below. Note this is not a complete list. There could be other requirements.
Back box support on left or right of box
Data on left or right of power
Receptacles to be mounted vertically with grounds in up or down position or horizontally with grounds to be left or right.
Location of box KOs to be knocked out.
Marking and packing required. For example - location by apartment, wall in each room, etc.
Types of connectors on device leads - Wagos, live spring, wire nuts, military 4 way crimp connectors, heat shrink, etc.
Solid or stranded device leads and ground pigtails.
Specifications of terminals on device leads and ground pigtails if any are required.
Priority of shipments by assembly label. And any other pertinent details. Extremely important.
Location of boxes in 16 and 24 inch wall mounting brackets.
The contractor submitted a signed and dated approved drawing for each assembly with his purchase order. S-P Products ordered the material, began production immediately and shipped his order on time. We, also provided a 1 or 2 gang strong steel snap on/off adjustable and reusable protective box and device cover with each assembly.
